At Hillbarn Sawmills our team is able to under take a wide range of timber machining and manufacturing, much of which is bespoke to meet specific customer requirements and projects and we welcome all enquiries however, large or small.
Hillbarn Sawmills has the skills, equipment and many years experience of producing timber cladding. In addition to holding stocks of the ever popular Waney Edge Larch Cladding, our real forte is machining cladding to order in a variety of sizes, lengths and profiles from a wide range of timber species. Whilst Feather Edge and Waney Edge are two of the most common profiles we cut, details of the full cladding profile range can seen by clicking the PDF.The most popular choices of softwoods species we cut are Larch and Douglas Fir and the most popular hardwood species are Oak and Cedar. We are also able to source and cut other species upon request.
Hillbarn Sawmills manufacture high quality Hardwood and Softwood Gates from Field Gates through to the Grandest ofHardwood Entrances Gates using traditional joints.
Our highly skilled and experienced craftsmen on site hand make gates in a range of designs from a variety of softwood and hardwood timbers.
Whether your ultimate choice is a classic Field Gate, an Estate Gate or for a Grand Entrance Gate Hillbarn Sawmills will be able to help and guide you through the selection process. We will be able to assist you with your choice of gate design by talking you through the range of patterns available and the choice of the appropriate timber for your requirements and budget.
Once your gate has been produced and we are also able to offer you an installation service and give you advice about wood finishes and your gate maintenance.
Oak has a character and charm that only nature is able provide and one which many people want to feature within their building projects whether the project be a new build, extension or refurbishment. At Hillbarn Sawmills we have craftsmen on site who are able to manufacture a wide range of Oak Structures, including Building Frames, Garage Frames, Porches, Trusses, Pergolas, Window Frames and many other bespoke items.
Many of our customers projects will start with a set of drawings but some projects just as a vision in the customer’s mind that will evolve into an end product.
When purchasing an Oak structure from Hillbarn Sawmills you will be working with a local independently owned company that has an extensive range of Oak in stock, Unseasoned, Air Dried and Kiln Dried from which to offer you the choice of the correct product for your project and we are able to talk through with you merits of each.
Before, taking your order we will be able to discuss with you your desired finishes for the Oak whether that be planed or sanded and your choice of timber finishes available such as Osmo, if choose.
Once we receive your order, our own craftsmen will hand make your products using traditional mortice and tenon joints and assemble the structure in the workshop before then disassembling it and delivering to site with Oak Dowels and assembly instructions for its final construction.
Whilst we are a Cotswold’s based company delivering through Worcestershire and the surrounding counties, we are able to supply to a wide geographical area. In the past we have supplied Oak Frames to most parts of the UK.
